About this center

The Town of Farmington Highway & Grounds garage on New Britain Avenue in Unionville takes used motor oil from Farmington and Unionville residents, a service the town restarted in January 2023. Drop-off runs Monday through Friday mornings, and the garage closes on holidays. Residents show a photo ID at the Highway office first. Property owners whose ID lacks a Farmington address bring a copy of their tax bill. Oil arrives in a sealed container of 5 gallons or less, and staff do not empty containers, so the container stays behind. Oil left without prior approval from the Highway Office counts as illegal dumping and draws fines.
