About This Center
The City of Fargo Landfill operates Monday to Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., with potential variations on legal holidays and windy conditions. While heavy materials like wood are accepted during windy weather, loads containing paper or lightweight materials will not be accepted. A $25 fee may be charged for untarped or improperly secured loads at the discretion of the scale operator. For residents with excess garbage, a simple three-step process is in place: pull onto the scale, unload items into a container on the asphalt surface, then return to the scale to pay a minimum of $12 for up to 600 lbs of debris per load.

Cathy Thomson (2/5 stars, 10 months ago): The landfill is convenient and rates are acceptable. The two star rating comes from the attitude and customer service received from the person running the gate/ weigh station. He acted as if he was the high and mighty "gate keeper" rather than a city dump customer service/ till operator. Not sure if it's the same guy every day but on this day the "gate keeper" needed an attitude adjustment.
