The gentleman who answered the door after a long delay accepted a few items rejected others and charged for the balance. He dithered a bit over what he could take and the process seemed rather random. Bizarrely he had no ability to make change — and they accept cash only. Overall not worth the drive. Costs me less to throw it in the county landfill where the attendants are professional friendly and know their jobs. If I feel the urge to go back I’ll prepare like you would for a strip joint in the 80s: with a roll of one-dollar bills. E-Waste seems intent on destroying the motivation of folks who are otherwise happy to recycle. Strong whiff of the Recology Store vibe here. Better than nothing but not by much.
