Also price was crazy low 3.65 when current spot is 4.20 I know it’s usually 20-30 cents under but 55 cents under is crazy!!! Go elsewhere!!! I know I had exactly 70lbs and 20lbs yet paid 66lbs for #1 copper and 18lbs for thhn copper. Thieves!!!

Rob Morris (5/5 stars, 4 months ago): I brought in several boxes of scrap aluminum copper brass etc that I'd collected at home over the years. It's a little confusing when you're coming in for the first time and don't know the protocol but everyone I asked was helpful and pointed out where to go at each step of the process. I started by pulling up to the ramp on the right (west) side of the main building. The lady at the window asked what kind of material I was bringing in and then directed me to park over on the opposite (east) side of the building instead and said somebody would meet me there. After I parked there a forklift pulled up to my truck carrying a big bin where I placed all my boxes of scrap metal. Then they carried it over to the scale where they weighed everything according to material type (I had already sorted the different metals into different boxes; I'm sure the process would be a lot more complicated if they had to sort everything on the spot). Once everything was all weighed they directed me to the cashier's office. Be prepared to give the cashier your driver's license and license plate number (presumably to make sure you're not a thief selling metal that's not yours which is reassuring). At the end of it all they gave me a check and an itemized receipt showing reasonable prices for everything. Overall great experience once I understood the process and I'll be back in the future.

I parked the forklift driver brought a container over I separated the items he took the container to the scales (they weigh everything right in front of you). Took my ticket to the office and got a check for the items. Easy peasy. Everyone was nice what more could you ask for. Thanks DFW Recyclers!
