About this center

Cash Can Redemption at 120 Tolland Street in East Hartford is a Connecticut bottle and can redemption center built around automated counting machines that process hundreds of containers in minutes. It takes all Connecticut deposit beverage containers, including beer, soda, water, sports and energy drinks, juice, hard seltzer, hard cider, tea, coffee, kombucha, and coconut water, across all store brands. Customers bring plastic bottles and cans in separate bags, with free plastic bags supplied, and a pre-count guide sets how many of each size go in a bag, such as 100 plastic bottles in the 12 to 24 ounce sizes or 200 12-ounce cans. Glass is accepted only when packed in beer boxes, and loose glass is turned away.

Rude & nasty . I came here to recycle & I wasn't aware that they had to be separated a certain way. The guy was so rude to me instead of explaining the separation process he threw a piece of paper at me & shouted profanity in a different language. I was appalled ! He does not have to yell at anyone like that. If a person doesn't recycle on a regular basis wouldn't common courtesy be to just explain it like a normal human being? No professionalism whatsoever I wouldn't recommend for anyone to go there
