About this center

Bill Burcham started taking scrap at Burcham's Metals in 1960, when most people hauled it to the landfill, and the Albany yard still prefers to resell usable material and equipment as is before recycling it. Visitors work through four steps on Pacific Boulevard SW: park, unload, weigh up, and pay out. The buying list covers prepared and unprepared steel, tin, cast iron, 316 and mixed 300 series stainless, brass grades including ammo brass, aluminum, copper radiators, carbide, lead, nickel, titanium, and zinc. Businesses in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon, and nearby towns get barrels, bins from 1 cubic yard up to 50 yard roll-offs, and flatbed semi-trailers, plus pickups by dispatch. Customers need a forklift on site for bins and barrels. The yard is closed Mondays.

Burcham's is always a pleasant place to do metal recycling business. I've never experienced any of the workers having a negative attitude. I really enjoy the convenience and ability to do my recycling so close to home.

No matter what we've looked for oftentimes we find it here. From components to antiques I find it all here. Always Fair on the price and it's like a treasure hunt. We recycle and repurpose most of what we do and I wouldn't have been a part of some of the awesome projects we've been best blessed to find without this group of people who make up the team here. They see awesome and I can't recommend them highly enough.

Went there today for the first time. Had a larger dump trailer and did not realize we would have to hand unload. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Made some suggestions for next time on how to earn more money… thank you!!
