All Scrap Salvage has been a family-owned and operated scrap yard in Cleveland for over 70 years, founded in the 1940s. It buys ferrous metal including sheet iron, busheling, cast, turnings, motors, appliances, dies, and rotors, plus red metals, aluminum in every series, lead, and stainless steel.
Staff unload customers at the yard, state certified scales weigh the load, and the buyers grade it before payment by cash or check against a valid driver's license or state ID. Appliances come in with the freon and copper lines intact, or with documentation from the licensed contractor who drained them. The yard refuses automobiles, glass, plastic, cardboard, TVs, and computer monitors.

I wish i knew the determining factors for pay out for miscellaneous scrap besides weight. I have gone and dumped radiator pieces two do different days to the back bulk area in the same week. I am fairly certain in each trip what i dropped off were equal in weight. My pay out was wildly different. I know they look out on camera to see that people are dropping off things that are metal and what sort. I feel one of the cashiers is paying out what is fair and one is watching the bottom line for the company. Although i go there frequently and i will keep going there maybe the guy who low balls me thinks i am a fool and i will be happy with what he throws at me.

All scam i wouldn't even take aluminum cans there. Any scrap yard that doesn't let you see the weight or tell you they are buying your metals as are always going to take advantage of it. I weighed and priced my scrap before going here and was offered half of what it should have been. There are plenty of scrap yards. Find a better one than this.

I scrapped an old I.C.E. lawn mower as part of the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Health's battery lawn mower rebate program. All Scrap Salvage is the first salvage company I called and I was lucky enough to get a professional and knowledgeable guy by the name of Jake on the phone. He explained everything to me and when I dropped off the mower everything was exactly as he had explained it to me. Wow there were no "surprises!" I love it when that happens! On top of it all the guy who helped me unload my old mower when I got there - a young man by the name of Woo - was energetic and helpful. I could tell that these guys could tell that I am not a scrapper by trade and that I was way out of my wheelhouse on this. But they made it seamless and painless for which I am grateful! Kudos!
