California redemption payments, electronics buyback, and scrap buying meet at One Earth Recycling, 636 Front Street in El Cajon. The yard pays on CRV containers, and the state program now includes liquor and wine bottles plus boxes, bladders, and pouches. Copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel are bought here, and the El Cajon processing site also takes steel scrap and high-temperature aircraft alloys. Scrap payouts go out three days after the sale unless the load is tied to a registered business, which is paid at the time of drop-off. Registered commercial accounts get bin placement and pickup at the business. Customers who take the One Earth debit Mastercard are paid for e-scrap such as televisions, computers, and cell phones, with extra pay on aluminum cans.
