SoCal E-Waste, licensed in California and in business since 2013, works mainly with businesses and takes residential drop-offs too. Pickups are free for commercial customers with at least 10 items. The crew brings a truck and handles the lifting, and the data on each device is destroyed before recycling. Customers schedule two to three days ahead. Residents bring televisions, computers, monitors, network equipment, and cellphones to the Lake Elsinore location across from the Target shopping center on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The company also sets up e-waste events for churches and schools, and its service area covers Riverside, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles Counties.
