Frequently asked questions

The three cases with the latest opening dates are: Case 317424588, recorded establishment VALLEY RECYCLING INC, opened 2014-08-21; source type Complaint; source scope Complete; case-closed date 2014-12-09. Report: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=317424588 Case 316255827, recorded establishment VALLEY RECYCLING INC, opened 2012-06-06; source type Referral; source scope Partial; case-closed date 2013-02-14. Report: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=316253061 An inspection-case record does not itself establish a citation, accident outcome or current safety rating; some scopes can be records-only or no inspection. Historical records may concern prior operators. Checked 2026-10-31.

What historical OSHA citations and recorded corrections are linked to these cases?

The matched cases contain 15 reviewed citation entries in the 2026-10-30 source download. Entries with unclear deletion flags were withheld. The three latest issued entries are: Case 317424588, citation 01001, issued 2014-10-01; cited standard code 1550000901; source classification Other; final-order date not supplied; source abatement status Abatement Completed; abatement due date 2014-08-21. Report: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=317424588 Case 316255827, citation 01001, issued 2012-10-11; cited standard code 80017005; source classification Other; final-order date not supplied; source abatement status Abatement Completed; abatement due date 2013-01-10. Report: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=316255827 Case 316255827, citation 01002, issued 2012-10-11; cited standard code 80017015; source classification Other; final-order date not supplied; source abatement status Abatement Completed; abatement due date 2012-12-13. Report: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=316255827 An abatement due date is a deadline, not a completion date. Citation classifications and historical records are not a present-day safety finding. A blank final-order date does not establish whether a matter remains open. Assessed amounts are not an outstanding balance or proof of payment.

What establishment employee counts appear in the historical OSHA records?

DOL’s inspection dataset defines this field as the number of employees in the establishment. Positive values in this location’s matched case records include (three cases with the latest opening dates shown): case 317424588, opened 2014-08-21: 10 reported establishment employees. Case: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=317424588 case 316255827, opened 2012-06-06: 25 reported establishment employees. Case: https://www.osha.gov/ords/imis/establishment.inspection_detail?id=316253061 These are historical case-associated values in the 2026-10-30 download, not current staffing, an annual average or a company-wide headcount. The file does not supply a separate employee-count measurement date. Values are not summed or averaged and should not be used to determine legal size thresholds. I brought in 30lbs of ins. Wire #2 got $45 for that which is about spot on but I had also brought aluminum 8000 wire clean stripped it by hand all day and was given $9 for 18lbs but yet I had 12 pounds of that exact wire that I had not stripped and got $3.60 for it but instead of choosing one of the aluminum options on there receipts they wrote 2 23 and 2 22 for the type of aluminum I guess and was rude and made me feel dumb for asking..i weighed the stripped wire before I headed to valley recycling I got 37lbs and the non stripped was 6 pounds even if my scale was off a tad bit these numbers were mind boggling I wouldn't recommend them I'm not mad the money isn't large enough to make or brake my month or even week but the respect u get when they think your not educated on scrapping is to me the difference in some back alley hustle type of business just looking to pocket extra off your hard earned scrap hunt and that's just the same as stealing it except we trusted the company and the process to leave feeling like a fool is why I wrote this I hope it's enough to change the way they do business or worst case just enough to make a decent person trying to make a buck without committing crimes or scaming people to add some xtra money to the pocket hopefully this will make them turn and go to the next scrap yard don't get robbed and worse don't be made the fool ZERO STARS IF I COULD

As a plumbing company I would not take your water heaters to recycle here . They are not appreciative of giving free metals to them . And they didn't seem to care to make me take my water heater back . Because it had cardboard and they don't even have a spot to get rid of any small cardboard
