West Union Recycling Tips

  • •Check the glass rule before you load the car, because three county sites including two in West Union have no glass container.
  • •Save tire disposal for the first full week of the month, which is the only time the transfer station accepts them.
  • •Bring scrap steel to Trefz Road rather than paying to dump it, since scrap steel drop-off is free.
  • •Budget an extra $10 per appliance for anything holding Freon, including refrigerators, freezers, and window air conditioners.
  • •Do not plan a Wednesday trip to the transfer station, and remember metal sales do not run on Saturdays.
