Burrtec Waste runs residential trash and recycling in the City of Santa Clarita, and its bulky item and e-waste drop-off yard sits on Springbrook Avenue. Household hazardous waste has no city site. Residents use the county S.A.F.E. centers in Sun Valley and Northridge, four paint drop-off stores in the valley, and battery bins at city libraries and community centers.
Schedule it with Burrtec at 661-222-2249 at least 48 hours before your collection day. City residents get three large items or ten 32-gallon bags, up to four times per calendar year. Furniture, white goods, tires, carpet cut into 4-foot rolls, and mattresses wrapped in plastic qualify, and electronics do not.
Burrtec's drop-off facility is at 25950 Springbrook Ave #202. It is open Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the third Saturday of each month 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Bring proof of residence and ID and wear closed-toe shoes. The yard takes TVs, computers, laptops, cell phones, and string lights, and refuses household hazardous waste and construction debris.

They take AA, AAA, C, D, rechargeable, and button batteries. Tape the ends of lithium batteries or put them in a plastic bag first.
The permanent county S.A.F.E. centers are at 11025 Randall Street in Sun Valley and 10241 N. Balboa Blvd in Northridge. Both take hazardous waste and e-waste on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Santa Clarita has no hazardous waste drop-off of its own.
