Take them to the Richard A. Curry Environmental Complex at 3440 Reese Phifer Ave, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A crew member meets you in the designated parking space and unloads your car, and drop-off is free. Large loads need an appointment, so call 205-248-4900.
Garbage costs $12.00 per month for the first cart and $36.00 per month for each additional cart, billed on your water bill. Trash pickup of limbs, brush, bagged leaves, and old furniture is free for active garbage customers. Tires, paint, batteries, light bulbs, and recyclable electronics are refused at the curb, and limbs must be under 8 feet long and 8 inches thick.
