Salt Lake Valley Solid Waste - Recycling Center in Salt Lake City, UT

I just visited the landfill today. I took a load of carpet and floor tile and returned with a load of cookin’ mulch! I took my wife who was somewhat reluctant. As we were leaving she said “That was actually really fun and cool to see how it worked.” The lady at the weigh station was very helpful kind and professional. I spoke with the employee at area 2 who was walking around answering questions and giving support as needed he was fantastic. I interacted with the lady in area 6. She was running the front loader and was a master at it. She was very kind and quite efficient. She placed the load perfectly on my trailer which mattered because I was maxing out my trailer’s capacity. Great job everyone!

As far as a dump goes top notch! We had cans of paint needing to be disposed of and this was the place. Very friendly and helpful employees clean and organized. No fee either! We had to wait a little while in line but worth the road trip to get rid of our very old and leaking cans.

Awesom place! I usually load up the bed of a truck with all sorts of things. When I’m taking strictly Dirt or Greenwaste it’s only $11 to dump. If I’m taking all sorts of stuff it’s $16 for a truck load. Also if you ever wondered why the seagull was the state bird go here.
