SA Recycling - Calera - Recycling Center in Calera, AL

Changed hands now a rip-off. The new owners have made it so difficult to drop off and receive payment. Due to severe arthritis I nearly have to crawl onto the platform to receive payment as they have no railings to hang on to. When I do reach the payment location it is a fraction of what I used to get. Not happy with current service.

This place is an absolute joke with the new owners running it. I went there the other day and I was there for 2 hours. They also aren't near as friendly as the last owners and they have alot of stuff changed and the whole in and out process might as well have been rocket science for whoever came up with changing it to the way it is now. I definitely won't be going back there ever again. I literally had to jump thru so many hoops and zigzag all over the place for 2 hours to get the check. Then on top of that the money wasn't anything near as much as it would have been when it was Circle K. It's a shame what's happened to this place because I did good business with the last owners for years. I enjoyed going there. Now it's a nightmare I'll never repeat as long as I live. They need to take some notes from the previous owners on how to treat a customer and basic common sense.

Used to love it when it was called circle K. Went was told needed multiple holes for freon cans even though one shows empty they want 5 or 6. Plus they paid nothing. A haul that last year was several hundred dollars amount to about 130. And it's just pure chaos. Time to investigate and look up other scrap yards and prices. Never again. Ripoff scandal 2025
