Ben Dover (1/5 stars, 5 months ago): I have been to this location many times and only once did I receive a fair price which happened solely because I only brought in bulk cans. If you bring anything other than the lowest-grade materials YOU WILL GET CHEATED. Even if that’s what you have I must implore you to avoid this place for the greater good of the community. This business and its employees have zero professionalism and do not deserve to operate here. Plus the driving area is littered with nails screws and other hazards showing a total disregard for your safety and property. For your own sake and the good of the community GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. These people are actively committing fraud and/or are so incompetent that the only reasonable explanation is that this is legit their first job after finding them in the Home Depot parking lot. Yesterday between 11 and 12 I brought in high-quality aluminum stainless steel brass and medium copper all separated and cleaned. I saw this boy who was working alone without a supervisor or any other employees in sight put the steel and aluminum together on the scale. When I protested and took out a magnet to show him the boy in the most unintelligible English actively lied to my face and deceived me saying he already knew the weight of one and was going to subtract it. He even continued to misidentify metals even after I corrected him multiple times. Then I watched him put the brass and cleaned copper together on the scale. I protested in Spanish this time but he told another bold-faced lie. No se puede culpar esto a la ignorancia o a la mala comunicacion. Imagine my anger when I took my ticket to the rudest individual I have met all year at the counter and only after finally deciphering their non-industry-standard gibberish acronyms did I realize this man just paid me $0.06 per pound for the aluminum/stainless and $0.75 per pound for the brass/copper. Not only were these the wrong prices and wrong materials listed for what I brought in but it was also the prices they give for the lowest-quality metals. Worse still they were even less than the prices advertised on their own sign out front. The only thing he did correctly was to accurately record the amount of incorrectly combined weight. Talk about the bare minimum. This is not how you do business. You do not falsely advertise. You do not damage customer vehicles on entry and actively put their safety at risk. You do not hire employees who not only have no idea what they are doing but have less than an elementary grasp of English and leave them unattended to deal with clients. And you do not defraud your clients. Whoever is in charge needs to fire those employees immediately before they cause any more harm. Whoever hired and left them unattended to rob people should be absolutely ashamed. Honestly this type of fraud and criminal negligence must be investigated and prosecuted. After another incident I had with this same location and a different guy—which I initially tried to rationalize as my own fault—I came prepared this time. I documented everything made sure to record both audio/video of each interaction record the items their individual weights on my own scale the weight on their scale and the receipt—including intentionally misleading and non-standard acronyms— I am actively reporting this to the appropriate authorities. I honestly didn’t want to have to do this. I have met a few good people here who are friendly and experts but they are so rarely available. It’s not worth going here hoping I might get a fair price only to be cheated every time. I also cannot allow a business engaged in criminal fraud to operate without consequence especially when they’re so flagrantly violating laws and robbing the community. I sincerely hope the decent employees find better opportunities than this dishonest racket.

Zac Smith (1/5 stars, 3 weeks ago): I've been there twice. The first time I caught it when they tried to short me about $50. I thought it was an honest mistake. I went last Thursday and they got me for about 15 lbs of brass. And cause I didn't catch it right then they say they can't help me.im trying to contact frank the owner of the place to no avail as of yet. The guys who help you sort stuff are nice guys buy when you go to cash out.youd better know what you had and check your receipts.personally I'll just go somewhere else if I have to do my job and their job too. I hope frank rather sees this and makes it right. If so I will change my stars and rewrite my review. And so now I've been there countless times and had no more issues. It was just a honest mistake I believe. But I'm watching you aubtigergirl.
