Richmond Heights Recycling Center
About This Center
Neighborhood Trash and Recycling Centers in Miami-Dade County offer a convenient way for residents to dispose of household trash, yard cuttings, and limited construction debris. These centers also accept up to four standard automobile tires and white goods, excluding food waste. Each customer is allowed to dispose of up to three cubic yards of construction and demolition debris per day. Some centers accept wooden and chain-linked fences, used motor oil, electronics, and cardboard for recycling. However, certain centers do not accept white goods, tires, or mattresses. To use the facilities, residents must present a valid Florida driver's license or ID matching an eligible property address in the county database. Oversize vehicles and trailers are not permitted at the centers. Operating hours are from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM daily, with specific services available at each location. Just show them your ID and if you are local to the area you can come and put your trash here. Perfect if you are cleaning out your garage. The attendants are generally pleasant. Just drive up they tell you what parking space to go to then DUMP. Of course only household garbage not construction jobs.

Marco Netto (1/5 stars, a year ago): We showed up with little to no trash in a clearly rented U-Haul 15 minutes before close and he scoffed and sent us away. Was no big deal to put a few random pieces in the dumpster- bad attitude and zero flexibility.

I asked the lady at the entrance if I could throw away an old sofa there and what documents or ID would I need since Its my first time there and didn't know what was required. She scans my license and then says I shouldn't be saying its my first time because the computer says ive been there before. I explained several times that must have been the old tenants from that property because I had just moved down to miami and she kept insisting that "I still shouldnt say that". So I keep saying yes I should BECAUSE IT IS MY FIRST TIME THERE. There might have been old tenants from the same address that went there and I get that but my statement of "its MY first time there" is still true. At the end she let me through but kept yapping and yapping and insinuating that I was lying. Very rude and disrespectful!
