Recology Oregon Material Recovery (ROMR) Suttle Road Facility in Portland, OR, is a licensed dry Material Recovery Facility (MRF) that accepts mixed or separated dry waste loads, excluding wet household garbage or decaying materials. The facility sorts and bales recyclables like waste paper, metals, plastics, yard debris, wood, concrete, asphalt, construction and demolition wastes, and gypsum wallboard. They do not accept wet garbage, food waste, chemicals, commercial refrigerants, railroad ties, paint, auto parts, tires over 22.5 inches, or hazardous waste like asbestos-containing materials. Visitors can drop off appliances without Freon or Mercury, cardboard, clean dirt, metal (ferrous and non-ferrous), roofing materials, sod, wood, demolition debris, and yard waste. The facility also offers services for construction and demolition debris recycling, drop-off for recyclable materials, and yard debris composting. All loads must be covered, or an additional fee will be charged. Operating hours are Monday to Friday from 5 AM to 3 PM, closed on specific holidays, and prices are subject to change.
