Parkway Recycling Center on the Peninsula
About This Center
City of Mobile offers free take-home recycling bins to residents using its single-stream recycling services, supported by grants from The Recycling Partnership and the American Beverage Association. The city operates three drop-off locations for residents to recycle, open Monday to Sunday with proof of residence required. Not accepting glass, styrofoam, bows, gift bags with bows, plastic bags, and certain wrapping paper, the city aims to become a cleaner, greener community with a single-stream method that eliminates the need for sorting recyclables. Additionally, the city now accepts old household electronics at its recycling centers, partnering with Ransom Solutions for electronic waste collection and processing. Residents can drop off items like telephones, computers, game consoles, and cell phones in designated blue bins, with TVs and large electronics directed to Ransom Recycling's facility in Chickasaw. Businesses can arrange commercial pickups for electronics through Ransom Recycling directly.

Jack Fowler (5/5 stars, 6 months ago): Nice clean facility with great attendants! Recycling facilities were very much needed in this area. It’s also easy for anyone just beginning to recycle as no separation is needed (glass is not permitted at this time). Ask attendant which type of materials can be accepted.
