Oak Grove Recycling Center

Oak Grove Recycling Center, located at 19045 Main Street NW across from Lifelong Learning Center, offers 24-hour access for residents to drop off various recyclable materials. Accepted items include aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard, glass jars and bottles (sorted by color), mixed paper, used oil (residents only, no gasoline or solvents), plastic PETE 1 and HDPE 2 containers, shredded paper, and steel food cans. Notably, the center does not accept certain items such as food, pizza, or pop boxes, plastic-coated corrugated cardboard, tissues, paper milk cartons, and fluorescent bulbs. Additionally, Oak Grove hosts seasonal recycling events at City Hall, where residents can dispose of appliances, electronics, furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, tires, and yard waste for a fee. For curbside recycling services, residents are advised to contact their hauler for collection schedules and information.
