Missouri Valley Recycling
About This Center
The Missouri Valley Recycling Center is a drop-off facility serving Clay, Yankton, and parts of Union County in Southeastern South Dakota, operated by the Joint Solid Waste Authority. Supported by material sales and landfill fees, the center accepts various recyclables such as aluminum cans, books, cardboard, glass, magazines, office paper, plastics, scrap metals, and more. It is emphasized that glass and cardboard should not be deposited in the satellite recycling trailers due to capacity and safety concerns, with glass only accepted at the main center located at 840 N Crawford. The public is urged not to mix garbage with recyclables in the trailers to maintain the quality of accepted materials. Additional satellite drop-off locations include Barstow Park, Vermillion High School, Vermillion Liquor Store, and Pump N Pak.
