Mike's Wrecking

Mike and Leila Greer started Mike's Wrecking in 1962, working the yard seven days a week, and in 1964 bought a five-acre tract planted in turnips to build the current office and a two-bay shop on Pine Street in Abilene. The family-owned yard now covers over 30 acres of used auto parts. It sells new aftermarket parts and recycled OEM parts, belongs to a nationwide parts locator network for models it does not stock, and ships by UPS and regional freight carriers. Rebuilders are sold as project cars and inexpensive daily drivers. The yard buys cars running or not, and it buys aluminum wheels, including bent or broken ones. Parts paid for by check carry a 15 business-day refund hold.
