Additional tips include switching to reusable grocery bags, donating reusable items, and saving egg cartons for planting seedlings.

Nancy Leslie (5/5 stars, 7 years ago): It was a bit confusing at first the sign seemed to point to a locked gate. When I called the city they clarified the location for me I was able to drop an entire car full of flattened cardboard boxes into their walk in dumpster. VERY convenient.

Kh G (1/5 stars, 8 months ago): City offers this phone number for recycling but they don't have a phone. I've called waste management 6 times and can't get hold of any one who can answer my questions. The mayor doesn't care about its residents who are tax payers trying to be good environmental citizens ; she's only interested in building Livonia empire with developers contributing to her pockets. Disgraceful.

Julian Ray (2/5 stars, a year ago): Sign posted outside the drop off area says they open at 7:30 M-F not 7 as Gmaps says I waited outside until around 7:50 (11/23/23) and they gates were still closed and locked. An employee for a different department saw me waiting and came up to tell me they don't usually open on time as the people in charge of the drop off are busy doing other things. Terrible management on the city's part. When the location is actually open it's real easy to get in drop off your items and get out.
