About This Center

SCSWA operates the Las Cruces Recycling Center at 2855 W Amador, offering free drop-off services for residents only. Accepted materials include traditional recyclables, glass, electronics, scrap metal, white goods appliances, and household hazardous waste (HHW). Residents can recycle glass bottles and jars of various colors, bring scrap metal and white goods (with proof of freon removal for refrigerators), and dispose of up to 5 gallons of HHW per person per day. Data-storing electronics are accepted for free, while monitors and TVs incur a fee. The center does not buy materials and is not for commercial use. Operating 7 days a week, the facility provides responsible recycling and waste disposal services, with tours available upon request. Denise Mejia (1/5 stars, 6 months ago): i left the dump before five i didnt have but a small trailer with me i get up ready to pay gave the girl my name she told me my total was 76.96 in said there must be a mistake cuz i come here all the time and it never has been that high i had 0.33 tons i wasnt going to pay that much i knew there was something wrong telling me there scale just got fixed i said nope she said she called the manager looked a the cameras and said there wasnt a mistake i said well get them done here then her story changed saying she will reduce it this time im like really i dont know if the management knows that there employees are doing this but i know im not the first one this has been done to if you dont know now you do this a problem i think you need new management or different workers that are honest

Sean Carsner (1/5 stars, 7 months ago): They won't take your recycling if they find a sliver of styrofoam in your can. They'll often not take all of it only half because they're quick and lazy. And of course if you call them no credit is offered. City taxes at it's finest...
