About This Center
KMR is a recycling center established in 1986 in downtown Kalamazoo, with a 40-acre facility and 85 employees. They accept a variety of items for recycling, including washers, dryers, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, grills, refrigerators (Freon must be removed properly), machinery, farm equipment, scrap steel, water heaters, and vehicles - specifically noting that they take anything a magnet sticks to. Visitors are instructed on how to drop off items based on their vehicle size, with small cars directed to the right, trucks and large trucks to the left, and all vehicles advised to wait for directions and a green light. KMR operates from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and can be contacted at their office on 1525 King Hwy in Kalamazoo or via email at kmrscrap@aol.com.

Nancy Nava (1/5 stars, 3 months ago): I call today at this company and clearly the lady who answer me doesn’t have education or respect new year and with the negative attitude very unprofessional and very rude I’m a kind a person who always greets and smile no matter what I been true I was rise like that and she practically hang up the phone she say she didn’t hear nothing well mam with 4 seconds you can’t hear nothing give more time ask I want to speak with someone is like she he’s mom or what I want to talk that person not you very negative you should give a job to another person and if you not happy don’t be a secretary stay home or find someone who resolve you hope the manager see if with 5 mins she like that with me can’t believe how she is with other people

Vibez (1/5 stars, 7 months ago): I went there yesterday with a whole truck load of scrap. I had two large desk that were 90% metal with thin wood tops and they took off 400 pound for having wood even though the desk together didn’t even weigh 400 pounds. Left me with 320 pounds. Got $30 out of a whole load. Already contacted them and they were very dismissive. Honestly very disappointed if I was told they were going to take 400 pounds off I would have removed the wood myself
