Hays County Driftwood Recycling

For Hays County to charge residents for dump services is completely ridiculous. I’ve never been to an area where anyone was charged for bringing trash to a county or state owned dump; a privately owned dump yes but that is a different matter. As just one of several examples I recently had 4 - 6” wagon wheels off of a child’s wagon I needed to dump and the fee was $40; $10 for each wheel; completely outrageous! To keep Hays County beautiful trash dumping of all materials should be free to residents. What’s the point of paying our high property taxes when we have to pay for services the county should be providing for free? The lower income population of our county cannot afford this.

Brought in broken down boxes and quite a few bags of trash to get rid of. No problem! They weigh your loads and direct you where to dump. This place has great customer service and reasonable prices. Cant go wrong here unless you have chemicals or paint.
