Guntersville Recycling Department

The Guntersville Recycling Center accepts recyclable items from individuals living outside the city limits at 271 Avalon Way. Recyclables are collected on Mondays and Tuesdays, and curbside recycling is provided to all residents of the City of Guntersville. Accepted items include paper (newspaper, office paper, magazines, etc.), glass (food or beverage only), aluminum and tin/steel cans, plastics #1-#2 (food containers, bottles, jugs), motor oil, and electronic waste (with fees). Items like Styrofoam or hazardous chemical containers are not accepted. Residents can pick up blue bags for recycling at City Hall, the Recreation Center, and the Library.
