Grand Traverse Recycling
About This Center
The recycling center in Grand Traverse County offers both curbside and drop-off recycling services. Curbside recycling is recommended for convenience, allowing unsorted recyclables to be placed at the curb for collection. Drop-off recycling sites are available throughout the county for all households. Accepted recyclable materials include glass jars and wine bottles, metal cans and foil, various paper products like newspapers and office paper, and plastic bottles from categories #1 to #7 such as detergent and shampoo bottles. Unacceptable items include light bulbs, mirrors, TVs, computers, car parts, paper plates, napkins, and garden plastics. Visitors are advised to contact their service provider for specific details on acceptable materials. For more information, a Take It Back Recycling Directory is available on the website.

They accept a lot of stuff that other places don’t like plastic bags and cereal box liners. This is very convenient that it’s open all the time!
