The yard operates Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m. to noon. Additionally, free compost, mulch, and firewood logs are available for pickup, and bulk delivery can be arranged. Parking is limited, and visitors are encouraged to use the Gillie Park parking lot for access to the facility.

This is an awesome place for dropping off electronics recyclables large items it is especially nice for gardeners such as myself you can get free compost topsoil mulch and wood chips. They are open on Saturday mornings so bonus points there. The only requirement is that you are a resident of white Plains and can show proof if they ask.

Good place to drop off unneeded electrical items. There is also a volunteer run "Leave It Take It" on site. There is also a place to leave composting materials and to pick up compost for your garden.
