About this center

Gadsden Recycles is a City of Gadsden Public Works facility located at 306 Henry Street, off Meighan Blvd. The center accepts cardboard, newspaper, metals (excluding food cans), aluminum, and electronics from residents and commercial customers. Glass and plastic are not accepted. The city also operates a network of cardboard-only recycling trailers placed at community locations throughout Gadsden and surrounding areas, including sites in Hokes Bluff and Attalla.

Update as of July 2024: No longer accepts Glass Plastic and Food Cans (but does accept drink cans cardboard metal paper/magazines/books electronics but not monitors/TV's) Plastic (and cardboard) is accepted at Rainbow City Recycling Center but the plastic must be bagged. The street behind the Public Library. (Rainbow Drive ->Lister Ferry Rd. ->Bland St.) You can't miss it. I have yet to find a home for food cans and glass.

perhaps u should update info re recycling as the center was closed Saturday morning and we had a loaded vehicle...unassisted is supposed to be 24/7...we have not been back. update...we r going to Albertville to recycle...much better operation there! I know it is not convenient for everyone...but it seems that some of our 10% sales tax should go for something better in Gadsden instead of cutting down trees for no reason...but that's another story!!
