Took 5 batteries and set one on the scale to verify if it was calibrated their scale said 82 lbs. that’s for an 86 lb battery. So if you figure 4lbs times 5. I’m getting taken for 20 lbs. look at the specs of the battery posted besides I weighed it myself before taking them. I worked for an instrumentation co for years. We calibrated scaled using dead weight for accuracy. These guys got loud with me and said go somewhere else. I feel sorry for you guys taking aluminum cans to this establishment . You know the last time I went with smaller batteries that weighed 60 lbs I felt their scale was off. This time I checked the weight before I went to them to clarify my suspicions and I was right. All I wanted was to get my moneys worth but these guys were not nice and acted like there is no other place I can take my business and ran me off. And to make things worse they only pay 15 cents per pound and Edinburg scrap for batteries is at 17 cents per lb.

Also they weigh your copper and then mediately dump it into their massive bins and after they give you price weight and receipt it's already too late to claim your copper back. These guys work their and if there intentions are to scam you thell be real slick slick

They are closed for lunch between noon and one pm but they are super fast and really professional. No identification is needed for household aluminum and they will pay out in cash money. They also accept other metals but you will need to show identification and register with them as a vendor. For metals like copper your first transaction will require a valid identification card and you will be paid by company check only.
