This guy flew off the handle screaming! Because I was unaware of their policies. This was my first time trying to recycle anything. Upon presenting recyclable materials the employee’s conduct quickly escalated from mere hostility to outright aggression involving both verbal threats and physical intimidation. This encounter was not only unsettling but left me feeling harassed and unsafe. Such behavior particularly from a representative of the county reflects poorly on the professionalism and safety standards I would expect from a public service facility.

Outrageously disrespectful employee during my attempt to drop off recyclables here. Seriously uncalled for level of condescension and snarkiness by the employee who was working at this facility when I visited yesterday. At this rate I’ll simply overfill my home container and have the driver deal with the consequences when they pick up my home recycling every week to avoid having to subject myself to this behavior from the “professionals” staffing this facility or simply toss my recyclables in the trash. I was truly stunned at the lack of courtesy…then I read the reviews here and found that their lack of decorum is a common practice. Never again will I make the effort to take my items here.

Have usually enjoyed coming here to recycle our glass. However we were treated poorly by someone who works here. Very unlike people we normally encounter in Durango which I feel is a very friendly town. We were yelled at and condescended to simply because we missed a sign. He could have been understanding of our confusion but was really awful instead.
