Depending on the type of metal purchased, they either refine it in their foundry or send it to a specialized facility for recycling. The center serves the Greater Salt Lake area and provides a dismantling permit for junk cars. Visitors can contact them for current scrap prices and can find the center located at 5400 West Old Bingham Hwy, open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They are closed on Sundays. Jordan Adams (1/5 stars, 5 months ago): Will never come here again. First time visiting. First issue only one person could speak English. Second only accepted cash. Third tired over charging me multiple time. They obviously can't do math. Told me $0.40 over the phone then told me $0.45 and then told them I only had $100 cash after finding out they do not take card. And told me I could only get 100lbs then I corrected them. Had told me $0.10 charge per pound for what metal I needed to cut to fit in my vehicle. Then tried to charge me all the metal at the price of getting every piece cut and only had 3 cuts done. Could not cut a straight line and did not know how to light their oxygen and acetylene and he been their 15 plus years.
