Who collects trash and recycling in Novi?
Collection is provided by Priority Waste, which can be reached at 586-228-1200. Priority Waste still uses some GFL-branded trucks and carts, but new or replacement carts are Priority Waste branded.
What carts do Novi residents receive?
Each household receives a 95-gallon trash cart and a 65-gallon recycling cart. The 65-gallon cart must be used for recycling, but residents are not required to use the 95-gallon cart for trash. Additional carts can be requested from Priority Waste.
Does Novi pick up bulk items like furniture and appliances?
Yes. Household furniture, a mattress and box spring, or a refrigerator are examples of bulk items picked up at no additional cost. Call Priority Waste to schedule a pickup, and the item will be collected on your regularly scheduled collection day.
What should not go in the trash or recycling carts?
Do not place hot ashes, charcoal, or hazardous materials such as paint, chemicals, liquids, or car batteries in either cart. Heavy materials like concrete, sand, gravel, and soil are also prohibited.

My place doesn’t have recycling and im a big fan of recycling. So this place is just what i need to do my little part in this world. You can also free-cycle dumpster dive for stuff. For instance in the spring i wanted to pot some plants. Instead of spending $$$ at a home-goods store i happened upon a bunch of plastic pots for plants here. They even have a specific place to recycle political signs. Ya know those ones folks put in their yards; paper & a thick wire stand. I was a little bit upset with all the Democrats though. After Joe Biden blew the debate & dropped out i was expecting the political sign recycling area to be chuck full of Biden signs. With Democrats & The Green New Deal u figure they would all be doing their part with the useless Joe Biden for President signs. Not a one. I put my own sign there (as pictured) hinting folks should recycle their Joe signs. I’ll check back in a few weeks to see if it helped out at all. I try to do my part…

This place is a hidden gem! Lots of big dumpsters for large cardboard. It has security cameras to keep it secure and nice. Thanks city of Novi!

Easy to get to usually not crowded and bins are easy to put recycles into.
