City of Lubbock Recycling Center
About This Center
SOUTH MILWAUKEE 7308 Milwaukee Avenue is one of the Citizen Convenience Stations provided by the City of Lubbock for its Utility Solid Waste customers. Open Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., this location allows residents to drop off bulky items, yard waste, used oil, antifreeze, and recycling items such as paper and aluminum. To use the site, residents must show proper identification like a valid driver's license with a City of Lubbock address or a current City of Lubbock utility bill with matching identification. It is important to cover loads to prevent spilling, and the site is closed during City of Lubbock holidays.

Jim Crooks (5/5 stars, 8 months ago): Good experience. I had 4 burnt out long florescent light bulbs to dispose of. I drove up to the gate and a guy came out of his guard booth to my car. I asked if I could drop bulbs off here. He said yes and took them from me so I didn't even need to go inside.

Tom (1/5 stars, a year ago): The first time I went here it was ok. The second time the cardboard bin was full on a Friday afternoon and had to drive 5 miles to another center. The third time I learned it was closed on Sunday. You’ve gotta be kidding me. Overall recycling in Lubbock is a total joke but then I get the impression that no one in Texas cares at all about the environment.

Max (1/5 stars, a year ago): Wow…just wow. Our tax dollars go to the Keep Lubbock Beautiful campaign and the staff here is absolutely awful. We were treated like convicts because we wanted to recycle some cardboard already collapsed and ready to be recycled. Never again. Will do my part to keep Lubbock looking like Mars…
