Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub

The Cincinnati Recycling & Reuse Hub is a revolutionary sustainability center located at 911 Evans Street in Cincinnati, Ohio, transforming how the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State area approaches recycling and reuse. This innovative nonprofit facility provides a centralized solution for recycling hard-to-recycle materials, reusing household items, and diverting waste from landfills. Since opening on April 1st, 2021, the Hub has diverted over 1.3 million pounds of materials from landfills, making a significant environmental impact in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. The Hub accepts an extraordinary range of materials that most curbside programs won't take, including plastics #1-7, flexible plastics, plastic bags and film, Styrofoam, electronics, appliances, textiles and clothing, shoes, accessories, household items, books, toys, sporting goods, art supplies, craft materials, and much more. They offer both fee-based recycling services for specialized items and completely free recycling options for many materials. The facility features clearly marked sorting stations with signage and helpful staff to guide visitors through the process. Educational programs and volunteer opportunities allow community members to actively participate in sustainability efforts. The Hub operates on a unique schedule: Tuesday 10 AM-2 PM, Thursday 12 PM-6 PM, and Saturday 10 AM-2 PM, serving thousands of environmentally conscious residents each week. Materials collected are either recycled through specialized processors, donated to local organizations, or made available in their reuse shop. Donations to the Hub are tax-deductible, and supporters become key partners in their sustainability mission. The facility hosts workshops, school tours, and community events focused on waste reduction, sustainable living, and environmental education.
