About This Center

The Solid Waste Drop-Off Station is located at 3223 Old Shed Road, between Tinsley Park and the Recycling Center. Visitors are advised to call ahead with any questions regarding items they intend to bring. The station does not accept hazardous materials; these must be taken to Shreveport Green by appointment only. Fees for dropping off waste vary based on residency and type of organization, with residents and churches inside city limits charged $5 for the first 400 pounds and $8 for each additional 400 pounds. Residents outside city limits pay $10 initially and $8 for additional weight, while commercial areas inside and outside city limits are charged $15 and $25 respectively for the first 400 pounds, with an $8 fee for each additional 400 pounds.

Micha Petty (1/5 stars, a year ago): This place is the WORST. Ladies up front aren't all that bad but the guy in the back is rude/gruff. I mean I guess you can't expect the cream of the crop to apply for a trash job but he doesn't have to talk to people the way he does. His superior sounding attitude is a weird flex considering his only job is to direct the flow of garbage. The hours are misleading also. They stop letting people in a while before the posted closing time. They shouldn't indicate that someone can take off work and rush over there by 4:00 if they mean they are walking out the door at 4:00 and you can't get in after 3:45. Also there's no excuse why this place can't take cards (it should be free for as much as Bossier tacks every tax they can't get approved onto the water/trash bill). Literally the only place in town that I ever go to that requires me to make a special stop somewhere to get cash. Bossier City is just at it again with their disregard for the people they suck money from. I now regret investing in Bossier City/Parish for many reasons like this.

dancinglargies cw (1/5 stars, 5 years ago): Be sure and organize your garbage before you go so you can pilfer through it once you get there so it can be " recycled". Should be free for those in city limits.
