Big Iron Environmental Inc

Jachis Leviticus (1/5 stars, 7 years ago): I own a body shop and decided to take about 60 aluminum radiators to Big Iron. I went there because it is well known because it's in a really commercial location. Once I got there they weighed everything and the lady there gave me the quote for how much she was going to give me for all the aluminum. It was less than 100 dollars. I was quite surprised because i thought I was at least going to get 250. The lady told me that the aluminum was really dirty and the market for dirt aluminum was really low. So I took her word for it because she was really nice. I left with 96 dollars really dissatisfied. I went to the body shop and picked up what was left over that couldn't fit in the trailer I took. There where about 20 radiators. So I took the radiators to the other scrap metal place that I believe is called Heavy Metal. It was harder to find but I found it and saw that they had way more modern equipment and their service was much better. Once they weighed everything the cashier valued my radiators for 150. I was surprised to see that they were paying more than double the price per pound. I left that place really glad but really resentful against Big Iron. I don't know why Big Iron pays so little. Maybe it's because they have to pay too much overhead for the place they're in. Or maybe they're just greedy.

Tyla Lane (5/5 stars, 5 years ago): Big Iron has great customer service and the prices are about the same as all other scrap yards in the area. Free coffee and hot chocolate is available to all customers. I would highly recommend Big Iron! :)

Colby cheese (4/5 stars, 11 years ago): Good service. I feel like I'm not being ripped off. I can see exactly how much I got for each item it is very professional and I enjoy coming here and making money
