About this center

Roll-off scrap work is the day-to-day business of Best Metal Recycling, a family-owned and privately held yard at 15122 63rd Street North in Clearwater. Sister yards operate in Palmetto and Tarpon Springs, and a St. Petersburg site is listed as coming soon. Together the yards handle scrap projects across the Tampa Bay area. Containers range from 20 to 40 yards. A short job gets a box for a few hours or a few days, and a long job keeps the container from start through completion. Heavy equipment handles the scrapping. The yards serve HVAC and refrigeration firms, construction and demolition crews, electrical contractors, and plumbing contractors. Clearwater hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. The Tarpon Springs yard is closed on Saturday. Businesses and organizations set up recycling programs with the company.

Myself and the company have been coming here for years. Leah and her staff are always courteous and efficient with getting us in and out as quickly as possible. I always know we are receiving the best prices around. I highly recommend BMR over any of the competition in the area. If I could give 5 more stars I would! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

This was my first experience at a scrap yard here in Florida. We took some old AC units and few other scrap items. It’s very confusing when you get there & I had an unpleasant experience. UPDATE- I changed my review to 5 star bc BMR CONTACTED US AND MADE IT RIGHT. I’m surprised the owner went out of her way to correct something that wasn’t their fault. Apparently they lease the scales across street and it’s a temporary thing. She apologized and went the extra mile to correct the situation.
