What materials does the Base Recycling Center accept?
The dark brown containers accept corrugated cardboard, white paper, phone books, magazines, wrapping paper, brown paper bags and mixed paper products. Two separate containers at the recycling center are for aluminum cans only.
What items are no longer accepted?
As of Oct. 9, 2020, plastic bottles, plastic jugs, plastic bags, shredded paper and glass bottles are not accepted. These must go in the light brown refuse dumpsters or be taken off-base for recycling.
What are the hours and where is the center located?
The Base Recycling Center is located south of the commissary and stays open 24/7 to accept approved materials only.

Call the recycling program at 318-456-5293. Depositing unapproved materials in or around the containers is considered illegal dumping and is monitored by surveillance cameras.
