About This Center
Knott Landfill and Negus Transfer Station are two waste disposal facilities in Deschutes County. Knott Landfill accepts household garbage, construction debris, asbestos, and contaminated soil with specific weight-based pricing and application requirements for special waste disposal. They offer a $10 rebate for properly secured loads and accept various payment methods. Negus Transfer Station also accepts household garbage and construction debris with pricing based on weight and volume, along with additional charges for specific items like yard debris, wood waste, appliances, and tires. They have restrictions on certain materials like hazardous waste, liquids, and large items that may damage transfer trailers. Both facilities emphasize load security and have guidelines for acceptable materials. Alfalfa, Northwest, and Southwest Transfer Stations have similar restrictions on materials accepted and offer pricing based on volume for household garbage and construction debris, with limitations on certain items like dirt, concrete, and hazardous materials. They also provide a rebate for secured loads and accept various payment methods. Larger amounts of construction debris are directed to the Knott Landfill Recycling and Transfer Facility in Bend. Visitors to these facilities should review the specific guidelines for each location to ensure compliance with waste disposal regulations.

John Newbery (5/5 stars, 12 months ago): I live way out on the east side so going to the Alfalfa Transfer Station is way easier than the Land Fill. Easier to find Easier to get in Easier to get out. We do our recycling every other week and empty our utility trailer every few months. I can't imagine the process being any easier.
