The West Charlotte Mini-Transfer and Recycling Facility is one of two self-service transfer stations run by Charlotte County's Solid Waste division, located at 7070 Environmental Way in Englewood, FL. Charlotte County residents can drop off recycling (plastics, cardboard, paper, glass, aluminum and steel cans, and scrap metals), household hazardous waste, batteries, cooking oil, C&D debris, tires, furniture, and yard trimmings. Residents unload their own materials and must show proof of county residency; each household gets 12 free visits per fiscal year, with recycling and household hazardous waste not counting toward that limit. Hours are 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, closed on county holidays.
