Concord Recycling Center buys and takes in a long list of materials at 1320 Galaxy Way, behind the Audi dealership off the Concord Avenue exit. California redemption containers (green, amber, and clear glass, PET, HDPE, aluminum cans, bimetal cans) must be sorted and empty, and any non-CRV items go back to the customer. The metal list runs from cast and sheet aluminum, wheels, engines, and transmissions to bright wire, #1 and #2 copper, bus bar, radiators, electric motors, starters, alternators, and prepped and unprepped steel. E-waste covers computers, TVs, monitors, game consoles, motherboards, and hard drives. Paper takes cardboard, newspaper, and ledgers, with books, magazines, and phonebooks accepted for a drop-off charge. Customers arrive with sorted material and a photo ID, and the center joined the City of Concord Green Halo Program in 2014.

It depends on your state's bottle bill: most pay 5 or 10 cents per eligible container. Only containers sold in the state with the deposit marking qualify.
Most redemption centers ask you to separate by material (aluminum, plastic, glass) and sometimes by brand or distributor. Rinsed, uncrushed containers are processed fastest.
Some centers and retailers cap daily returns per person. Call ahead if you have a large load.
