Pueblo Metals Recycling is the Albuquerque yard on Broadway Boulevard SE in the American Iron & Metal network, which also runs yards in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Alamosa, and Lamar, Colorado. The yard buys junk cars, trucks, appliances, machinery, steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, stainless, insulated wire, radiators, lead batteries, electric motors, catalytic converters, lead, and zinc. Recyclers pull in to certified scales with large digital displays that show their own weights. Heavy equipment and operators unload large loads, staff help with smaller ones, and every seller gets a digital scale ticket and a choice of cash or check payment. The yard closes on weekends.

Ed's Recycling opened its gates on South Prince Street in 1996 and is still family owned. The yard buys scrap on certified scale weights and takes aluminum cans and scrap, brass, copper, wire, stainless steel, steel, cast iron, radiators, motors, transmissions, appliances, farm equipment, car batteries, cardboard, and cars with a title. The operation goes well beyond the yard. A car logger baler stays on site while two more balers work across New Mexico and West Texas. A copper wire granulator, bought in 2014, is the only one in New Mexico. Since 2007 the company has rented roll-off containers, and since 2009 it has sold used car parts. The service area reaches from Clovis to Portales, Tucumcari, Fort Sumner, and Muleshoe.

Rio Rancho Recycle opened in March 2012 as the sister company of Albuquerque's ACME Iron and Metal, which has more than 50 years in the metro. The yard at 110 Frontage Road NE buys aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, cast iron, steel, stainless, tin, car batteries, engine blocks with the oil pan removed, catalytic converters, electric motors, compressors, and appliances. The crew speaks English and Spanish. The yard turns away beer kegs, burnt wire, cardboard, glass, plastics, tires, TVs, printers, microwaves, railroad and utility-owned scrap, and city, county, or state property. This location does not buy whole cars. It serves Corrales, Bernalillo, Placitas, Santa Ana Pueblo, Zia Pueblo, and the Albuquerque metro, and it is one of five drop-off sites in the group.
