The City of Bentonville runs this compost facility on NW A Street, grinding yard waste into compost and wood mulch. Residents drop off yard waste with a recent utility bill and photo ID. The facility refuses animal waste of any kind, including barn and stall waste, and no longer accepts commercial haulers. Staff load all bulk compost and wood chips, so pickup requires a truck or trailer. Residents without one buy 40-pound bags of screened compost when stock is available. The yard sells fine screened, medium unscreened, and coarse grades plus raw wood mulch, with sales by cash only. Wood chips are free to anyone, and recycling bins sit on site. The facility opens Monday through Saturday and posts closures and grinding weeks on its city page.
