Action Metal Recycling opened in 1993 on Gertrude Street in Richmond and moved to its Pittsburg Avenue yard in 1994. It buys ferrous and nonferrous scrap metals from commercial clients and individual customers, and the staff speak Spanish. The yard runs a certified 40 foot weight scale open to the public for a fee. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM to noon.
