How to Recycle Toys

Donate working toys first. They're in high demand at thrift stores and shelters. Most plastic toys aren't curbside recyclable because they mix plastics with metal and electronics; take broken ones apart so any metal or batteries are recycled, and trash the rest or check a TerraCycle program.
