How to Recycle Fertilizers
Chemical fertilizers and lawn care products.
Quick answer
It depends. Plain fertilizer is best simply used up on your lawn or garden, but weed-and-feed and other pesticide-containing products are household hazardous waste. Never dump fertilizer down a storm drain (it pollutes waterways); take unwanted chemical products to an HHW facility.
