About This Center

VALCORE Recycling is a non-profit recycling center located in Vallejo, CA, offering services such as accepting California Redemption Value (CRV) beverage containers for buyback, donations of recyclables, and paper shredding events held every 3rd Saturday of the month. Visitors are advised to bring in materials fully sorted with caps off to reduce wait times and allow for efficient recycling. The center also features a Re-Use Barn for donations of books, office supplies, and art materials, although it is currently closed indefinitely. Additionally, VALCORE has partnered with Car Donations Services, Inc. to facilitate vehicle donations, whether running or not. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, with specific gate closure times for lunch and end of day.

David Paul Thorpe (5/5 stars, 2 months ago): Pulled right up as directed. Got clear concise directions as to where to go. Placed recycling into the bins. A gentleman came and took the barrels over to the weighing station he gave us the amount that we would receive. They cut a check and we were out of there probably in less than 15 minutes total. They only pay by check. Remove caps from plastic bottles and crush them.

I Use and Support the Paper Recycling each month and Now for the First time I used the bottle and can recycling and with using these services provided to Vallejo's People my Experience I can say they run a Clean Organized Professional and Helpful Service to the People of Vallejo. The Employees work together and their Team Work is Awesome and You can see it which makes this place run smoothly. Christopher Viveros (Chris) (5/5 stars, 2 years ago): Very well organized. Staffed to efficiently move customers through process expeditiously. Assistance provided as necessary. Questions answered by well trained staff. No one is pressuring you to move faster than you do but very willing to assist. All in all the best experience at any recycling center! Will be nice when they resume Saturday hours post pandemic.
