About This Center
The Refuse and Recycling Division in Troy provides refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection services through Tringali Sanitation to over 35,000 single family homes, condominiums, apartments, mobile homes, duplexes, and small commercial businesses on a weekly basis. They offer curbside yard waste collection starting from April 7, 2025, and have additional cardboard drop-off locations at the Department of Public Works. Residents are advised to break down cardboard boxes and only dispose of cardboard at these locations. Collection schedules are subject to delays on holidays, with specific adjustments for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day in 2026. Visitors can subscribe to refuse and recycling notifications for updates on collection delays, events, and other important information. SOCRRA provides recycling services by appointment only, and residents can use the Waste Wizard search tool to determine how to handle specific items.
